About The Position
Train America employs journeyman and master-level tradespeople as Instructors (we call them Guides) to train the next generation of plumbing technicians at our training centers embedded at distribution partner locations. This is a part-time instructor role where you can earn more and give back by teaching a few courses per year. A typical course involves 1 Saturday and 5 Weeknights.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience working in the plumbing trade.
- Authorized Instructor - Plumbing Courses.
- Journeyman Plumber - Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners or applicable state, where required.
- Master Plumber - Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners or applicable state, where applicable.
- Professional communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities
- Inspire a group of students as their instructor.
- Facilitate e-learning and simulations for students to learn the theories.
- Facilitate and oversee hands-on activities in the lab.
- Commute to the Del Valle training center and teach at least 4 bootcamps per year.
Benefits
- Hourly pay between $40 - $50 per hour depending on experience and credentials.
