The position supports smooth facility operations while guiding inmates through structured learning.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Teach plumbing practices, systems, and procedures in classroom and work settings
- Direct inmate work crews and inspect completed assignments
- Document training progress, attendance, and daily schedules
- Manage, issue, and inventory tools and materials used during training
- Determine needed supplies and submit purchase requests
