The Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences at West Texas A&M University is seeking a non-tenured, full-time faculty member to begin in January 2027. This role combines academic and clinical instruction with the responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Education. The primary focus will be on graduate student clinical experiences, both internal and external, ensuring comprehensive clinical education aligned with ASHA standards. The position involves developing and assessing new clinical education initiatives, such as simulations and community-based learning, to enhance the graduate program's standing and accreditation. Additional leadership and administrative tasks may be assigned by the program director and department chair. The faculty member will teach 1-2 didactic courses per semester and provide clinical supervision to first-year graduate students. While the summer schedule is flexible, significant work is anticipated during this period to prepare for the fall semester and maintain departmental operations.
