About The Position

Southeast KY Community & Technical College is seeking a Respiratory Care Instructor/Director of Clinical Education for the Whitesburg Campus. This is a full-time, 10-month defined term contract position responsible for teaching in the Associate of Applied Science Respiratory Care Program. In addition to teaching, the role includes directing clinical education, which involves organizing, administering, continuously reviewing and revising, and planning/developing clinical site locations for students. Some travel to clinical sites may be necessary. Faculty members are also expected to engage in professional development, committee assignments, and community service.

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor's degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy credential.
• Must hold a current KY state license.
• A minimum of four years' experience as a respiratory therapist.
• At least two years of clinical respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach in an Associate of Applied Science Respiratory Care Program.
• Serve as the director of clinical education.
• Be responsible for all aspects of the clinical experiences of students enrolled in the program, including organization, administration, continuous review and revision, planning and development of clinical site locations.
