About The Position
The department of Anthropology and Sociology invites candidates to apply for Instructor of Sociology. This position will teach a variety of undergraduate courses. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Applications will be held on file for one year.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Sociology from an accredited institution.
- Current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Sociology from an accredited institution, and demonstrated excellence in teaching sociology a the postsecondary level.
- Experience teaching online classes.
- Area of specialization (as evidenced by coursework or teaching experience) congruent with departmental course needs.
- Commitment to high quality teaching is essential.
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of undergraduate courses, such as principles of sociology, family, gender and society, social interaction, globalization, and social problems both on campus or online during the spring and fall semesters.
