About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for MATH 2P91 Discrete Optimization for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation effective September 1, 2026, is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Requirements

  • PhD in Mathematics or a related discipline. (In the absence of PhD applicants, applicants with an MSc in Mathematics or Statistics will be considered.)
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in Mathematics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).

Responsibilities

  • Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
