About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for MATH 1P07 Applied Calculus I For Engineers for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The compensation for the role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled student contact time, lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty.

Requirements

  • PhD in Mathematics or a related discipline. (In the absence of PhD applicants, applicants with an MSc in Mathematics or Statistics will be considered.)
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in Mathematics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
