About the position
General Assembly is seeking an instructor for their part-time User Experience Design course. The course is a 10-week program where students will learn to build wireframes, implement design patterns, and analyze business goals from a user perspective. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in user experience design and be fluent in various topics such as design-thinking process, user research, usability testing, information architecture, and more. The instructor will be responsible for teaching 2 hours per evening, 2 days a week, for the duration of the course.
Responsibilities
- Teach the part-time User Experience Design course for 10 weeks
- Shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of the newest generation of user experience designers
- Provide guidance to colleagues
- Have at least 3 years of experience working in user experience design
- Have fluency in various topics related to user experience design such as design-thinking process, user research and personas, usability testing, UX analysis, information architecture, interface design, wireframing, prototyping, analytics and optimization, and mobile UX
- Teach 2 hours per evening, 2 days a week for the duration of the course
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working in user experience design
- Fluency in Design-Thinking Process, User Research and Personas, Usability Testing, UX Analysis, Information Architecture, Interface Design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Analytics and Optimization, Mobile UX, HTML/CSS
- Eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of the newest generation of user experience designers
- Natural ability to provide guidance to colleagues
- Availability to teach 2 hours per evening, 2 days a week, for 10 weeks
