About The Position

Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Industrial Maintenance Technology. This position reports to the Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and is primarily responsible for, but not limited to, providing instruction, incorporating a variety of teaching methods, providing quality and timely access to students, and participating in non-teaching assignments. The position requires teaching at least 15 credit hours per semester or 30 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters combined. Teaching assignments may include teaching on one or more of the college’s campuses, online, or some combination thereof, based on the needs of the students.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology
  • Four years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical industrial equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, AC/DC circuits, electric motor controls, and PLCs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
  • Incorporates a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles to help them meet course competencies.
  • Evaluate students’ progress toward stated course competencies and inform them of their progress on time.
  • Provides quality and timely access to students and communicates availability through appropriate methods such as posted campus/office hours and electronic communication.
  • Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community.
  • Participates in non-teaching assignments, including instructional development, academic advising, student orientation, registration assignments, college-wide and/or division activities and committees, professional development, internal and external service, and other assigned responsibilities determined in consultation with the Dean.
  • This position requires teaching at least 15 credit hours per semester or 30 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters combined.
