About The Position

The Technology Instructor will educate and train individuals on various aspects of information technology. This includes teaching students the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, networking, programming languages, and other IT-related subjects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Possess technology certifications or industry credentials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or licensure.
  • Proficiency in teaching Adobe, Microsoft applications, and IC3 Digital Literacy.
  • Strong knowledge of current educational technology tools and applications.
  • Experience in integrating technology into curriculum and instructional practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and school administration.
  • Accountability and commitment to student success.
  • Solution-focused mindset and ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to work weekends/ late days (within notice).
  • Outreach for aware.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in IT instruction with classroom or virtual classroom environment.
  • Must be comfortable with speaking and communicating advice, ideas, feedback.
  • Ability to recognize weaknesses and develop plans to aid with instructional learning.
  • Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Central Ohio is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging IT courses and training programs.
  • Designing and implementing lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Conducting classroom lectures, discussions, and practical demonstrations.
  • Assisting students in hands-on lab exercises and projects.
  • Providing guidance and support to students in understanding complex IT concepts.
  • Evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest trends and advancements in IT.
  • Collaborating with other instructors and IT professionals to enhance the curriculum.
  • Participating in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in all staff meetings.
  • Send bi-weekly report to IT Department Chair.
  • Responsible for upkeep of Student Information Systems.
  • Responsible for upkeep of files.
