About The Position

This is a temporary to full-time position for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. The role requires basic mechanical and electrical skills to assist with or perform preventative and corrective tasks on process and facility equipment. The individual must be knowledgeable in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and special equipment tools. Maintaining a high standard of personal integrity, conduct, open and honest communication, and respect for others is essential. The position also involves completing daily computer tasks for PM and work orders, ensuring accuracy and clarity in documentation, parts, causes, and comments. Punctuality and adherence to all safety policies, general manufacturing policies, and food safety guidelines are mandatory. The role requires motivation to increase knowledge and gain experience in all aspects of the maintenance field. The job involves performing physical work in all conditions, with potential exposure to hazardous conditions, requiring strength, stamina, and mobility. Vision is needed to read printed materials and computer screens, and hearing and speech are necessary for communication. The role requires standing for long periods on hard surfaces, performing continuous and repetitive motion, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and reaching. A minimum of 3 years of maintenance mechanical experience and electrical knowledge is required, preferably in a food processing/manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical and electrical skills.

• Motivated to increase knowledge and to gain experience in all aspects of the Maintenance field.

• Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
• Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio.
• Able to stand or be on his/her feet for long periods on hard surfaces.
• Able to perform continuous and repetitive motion, including lifting, pushing and pulling product and/or objects, as well as bending, twisting and reaching with the torso.
• Minimum of 3 years’ maintenance mechanical experience.
• Electrical knowledge required.
• Preferably in a food processing/manufacturing environment.
