The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking a Business Faculty Instructor to teach across both associate‑level and bachelor‑level programs, including the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Business Administration. In this role, you’ll deliver engaging, student‑centered instruction, support diverse learners—including working professionals—and help students build the skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving business environment. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience teaching at the postsecondary level (three years preferred)
  • Commitment to inclusive, student‑centered instructional practices
  • Ability to teach using a variety of methods, including lecture, applied learning, group work, and online instruction
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to advise and mentor students effectively
  • Proficiency with instructional technologies, including learning management systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
  • All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI.

  • Three years of experience teaching at the postsecondary level

Responsibilities

  • Teach lower‑division and upper‑division business courses, including BAS courses, in a variety of formats and schedules (including early morning and evening sections)
  • Deliver inclusive, student‑centered instruction designed for adult learners and working professionals
  • Utilize multiple instructional modalities, including face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats through Canvas
  • Continuously improve curriculum, instructional delivery, and assessment strategies to enhance student outcomes
  • Assess student learning outcomes and contribute to course‑ and program‑level evaluation efforts
  • Develop, revise, and align course curriculum to support program learning outcomes and workforce expectations
  • Collaborate with program leadership on BAS curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Participate in curriculum mapping and accreditation‑related activities
  • Support development and refinement of new and existing courses as program needs evolve
  • Advise and mentor students on academic progress, degree completion, and career pathways
  • Support transfer students transitioning into upper‑division BAS coursework
  • Provide ongoing academic support to students within courses and program activities
  • Participate in departmental, program, and college‑level meetings, initiatives, and committees
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to support interdisciplinary learning and student success
  • Engage in institutional and community activities that support CWI’s mission
  • Pursue professional development aligned with teaching effectiveness, student success, and program goals
  • Stay current with trends in business education, workforce needs, and instructional technology
  • Collaborate with leadership to align expertise and professional interests with departmental priorities
