About The Position
The Department of Accounting at the College of Business Administration is accepting applications for Unit 11 Tutor positions for the Academic Year 2026/27. Under supervision, Tutors may provide academic support to students enrolled in Accounting courses throughout the 2026/27 Academic Year. Tutors assist students in the Accounting Lab with homework and preparation for quizzes or exams. Instructional Student Assistants work part-time, up to 20 hours max per week during academic periods. Incumbents may have concurrent assignments in other Student Assistant classifications as long as 20 hours are not exceeded in total. Requirements
- Admission or registration as a CSUSM student
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work
- Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff and other students
- Ability to accept responsibility
Responsibilities
- Perform individual and/or group tutoring
- Assisting with grading for course assignments, quizzes, midterms, and finals
- Assisting Finance professors with guest speaker parking permits
