About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant - Research Pool. We welcome applications from current CSUF undergraduate and graduate students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department to work with individual faculty for conducting research, or project activities within Electrical and Computer Engineering. An Instructional Student Assistant - Research is a CSUF graduate or undergraduate student who is appointed at an hourly rate to assist with research or project activities, under the direct supervision of an appropriate faculty member. This is a pool of Instructional Student Assistant - Research for the department to draw on as necessary. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may be offered employment on very short notice.

Requirements

  • Student must have completed related ECE courses as determined by the supervising faculty member with a grade of B or better.
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in at least 3 units in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic notice or academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide eligibility documents.
  • Applicants will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.
  • Applicants who reach the final stages of the application process must also sign a release form that authorizes the release of information by the applicant’s current and/or former employers to the CSU concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research or project activities within Electrical and Computer Engineering under the direct supervision of an appropriate faculty member.
