About The Position

Ridge Park Charter Academy is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to support students who need academic intervention. The paraprofessional assesses student abilities and provides instructional assistance through one-to-one support or group workshops, as directed by the classroom teacher and designated instructional leader. The role focuses on educating the whole student—academically, morally, and socially—and implementing a results-driven curriculum to support student growth from fall to spring testing. The position includes attending professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required. Ridge Park Charter Academy is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, opened in 1998, and serves students from Young5 through grade 8. Requirements

Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
Knowledge of and ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
Understanding of and ability to navigate technical systems.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a school or with school-age children is preferred.
