The Instructional Designer creates engaging, accessible, learner-centered learning solutions supporting enterprise education, organizational initiatives, knowledge transfer, and performance. The role analyzes learning and performance needs, identifies root causes and skill gaps, and recommends appropriate learning or performance-support solutions. It develops learning across modalities—including eLearning, instructor-led and virtual learning, blended programs, job aids, microlearning, simulations, assessments, video, communications, and other performance-support resources—and translates complex material into clear, accurate content through research and collaboration with subject-matter experts and stakeholders. The position develops measurable learning objectives, instructional strategies, storyboards, scripts, prototypes, practice activities, assessments, and evaluation approaches. It applies adult-learning and instructional-design principles, learning science, usability, accessibility, content-governance practices, and brand and design standards, including responsible use of approved AI-enabled tools. The designer tests and quality-checks learning products, creates or edits multimedia assets, and improves or retires materials based on feedback, data, content changes, and business needs. The role also contributes to peer review, team standards, process improvements, pilots, and cross-functional initiatives. The Instructional Designer independently manages assigned projects from planning through implementation, coordinating scope, timelines, reviews, approvals, dependencies, risks, and deliverables while balancing competing priorities. The role partners with stakeholders to clarify needs and expectations, provides guidance on learning strategy and modality, communicates recommendations and project status, and builds productive internal relationships. It may also manage course and curriculum uploads, testing, updates, maintenance, and retirement in the LMS; troubleshoot course-level LMS issues; support LMS testing and learner assignments; and maintain related procedures and documentation. This is a remote, nationwide opportunity. Vituity describes a collaborative community with virtual events, wellness activities, professional-growth training, and flexible work hours. The position offers a base salary range of $64,970–$81,215 and eligibility for an annual corporate Success Sharing bonus, subject to company performance. Final base salary depends on factors including skills, education, and experience.
