The Instructional Designer is responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and develop highly interactive learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led training, simulations, webinars, and blended solutions) that address business needs and improve performance of PPL employees. These solutions can address skills (mostly technical), compliance, and safety related instruction. The Instructional Designer is experienced with learning principles so they many analyze, design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials and programs. They must be able to communicate and collaborate with employees within the organization, demonstrating application of a systematic approach to training (SAT model, ADDIE model, etc.), needs analysis techniques, adult learning theory, and effective learning solutions. The Sr. Instructional Designer is responsible for working closely with subject matter experts and others to conceptualize, design, and develop highly interactive learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led training, simulations, webinars, and blended solutions) that target learning objectives and improve performance of PPL employees. These solutions can address skills (mostly technical), compliance, and safety related instruction. The Senior Instructional Designer is familiar with learning principles so they many analyze, design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials and programs. The Sr. Instructional Designer must be able to communicate with employees at all levels in the organization, demonstrating a solid understanding of a systematic approach to training (SAT model, ADDIE model, etc.), needs analysis techniques, adult learning theory, and all aspects of e-Learning design and development.
