About The Position

This role is for an Instructional Designer focused on developing training curriculum, specifically for technical training that is instructor-led rather than e-learning. The position requires the candidate to be local to the Bay Area, California, and will involve a hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week onsite at various locations including SF, Livermore, San Ramon, Oakland, or Daly City. A PG&E laptop will be provided, and any additional equipment must be supplied by the vendor.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience developing instructor-led training and on-the-job tasks for technical skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design and methodologies.
  • Proven experience performing task analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver against multiple competing deadlines, as needed.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (PPT).
  • Experience with creating job aids and technical writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing multi-year technical training programs for adult learners.
  • Experience with QuestionMark, Author-It, and/or Storyline.
