This position leads the design, development, and continuous improvement of learning experiences and student success initiatives for the Student Success Center (SSC) within Continuing Education (CE). The Instructional Designer oversees the creation of high-quality instructional materials, training programs, and academic support resources for student employees (e.g., peer educators, tutors, teaching assistants, academic coaches) and CE learners. The position partners with faculty, staff, and subject matter experts to design engaging, accessible, and evidence-based learning experiences that align with CE's mission, vision, and values. In addition to leading instructional design projects, the position provides strategic direction, manages project timelines and priorities, and mentors graduate and undergraduate Instructional Design Assistants (IDAs) in developing their instructional design and professional skills. The position ensures instructional materials meet quality, accessibility, copyright, and functionality standards while fostering innovation through effective use of learning technologies and AI-assisted design workflows. This role combines instructional design expertise, project management, leadership, creativity, and technical knowledge to strengthen the team's work and improve learner success across Continuing Education.
