Thank you for your interest in joining the Nusenda team! We are currently seeking an Instructional Designer to join our organization. As an Instructional Designer at Nusenda Credit Union, you will work with the Learning & Development team to apply current research and Instructional Design theory, based on the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSPI) to develop and update curriculum and digitize instructor-led modules in core classes. You will analyze the environment and target populations through needs assessments while applying fundamental research skills to instructional design projects. You will participate in cross-functional teams and works with external vendors to support ongoing organizational initiatives. You will work to ensure training methods are current, forward thinking and scalable.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Audit Learning, Business or specialized training in e-Learning design.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and its integration with facilitation and curriculum development.
  • Designing curriculum using a variety of online techniques.
  • Apply business and research skills to manage instructional design.
  • Curriculum development for strategic, long-term initiatives including leadership and highly skilled positions, training program management, and retention metrics.
  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.
  • Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Mac IOS functionality, and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply current research and Instructional Design theory, based on the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSPI) to develop and update curriculum and digitize instructor-led modules in core classes.
  • Analyze the environment and target populations through needs assessments while applying fundamental research skills to instructional design projects.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Analyst on developing tailored training programs based on analytic findings.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum and Content Director to reviews and ensure training methods are current, forward thinking and scalable.
