The Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Instructional Designer to create learning and training materials for DES Operations and Leadership. This role involves designing curriculum for various functions including HR Training, Leadership Development, Professional Development, and leadership soft skills, as well as instructional material for fleet services, financial operations, procurement, and agency-wide training. The Instructional Designer is responsible for the development of an agency-wide training curriculum, including designing, developing, implementing, revising, and evaluating courseware that meets industry and Department standards, as well as performance goals and business objectives. The position collaborates with Department leadership on employee training and development, and coordinates computer-based training. The successful candidate will identify training needs through assessments, surveys, and meetings, consult with business analysts and policy staff, and interview subject matter experts. They will also assess present and future needs to develop educational goals and objectives, initiate curriculum, instructor guides, reports, and correspondence, and prepare audio and visual materials. This position requires travel around the State and may offer the ability to work a hybrid schedule within Arizona.
