About The Position

The Instructional Designer & Curriculum Developer is a foundational role within Fortinet’s US Sales Enablement organization. The position designs, develops, and executes instructional programs, digital learning paths, and interactive curricula to accelerate time-to-revenue and improve field readiness as the commercial sales organization scales. The role creates modern, high-engagement instructional assets covering Fortinet’s Secure Networking, Unified SASE, and AI-SecOps solutions; selling methodologies; discovery and qualification frameworks; and competitive displacement strategies. It partners with Enablement leadership, Product Marketing, Business Value Advisory, Sales Tools, and frontline sales managers to translate complex technical architecture into practical sales execution. The role builds and maintains onboarding curricula and learning paths within a 30-day ramp framework; develops modular learning assets and outcome-based talk tracks; and architects, deploys, and administers digital courses and multimedia modules in Fortinet’s LMS. It manages course releases, catalog updates, user groups, curriculum tracking, and assessments, including Day 30 and Day 60 competency gates. It also develops live and virtual workshops, role-plays, simulations, instructor-led toolkits, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and self-paced prerequisites. The position collaborates with Product Marketing and Business Value Advisory on field-ready product and customer-value training, works with Sales Tools and RevOps to incorporate platform workflows and stage exit criteria, and aligns curricula with field execution gaps. It establishes learning telemetry and tracks effectiveness, retention, and skill acquisition against sales readiness measures such as Time-to-First-Opportunity, conversation certification pass rates, and pipeline generation velocity. Fortinet lists expected earnings of $125,000–$160,000. The exact offer depends on factors including subject knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program; bonus eligibility is reviewed at hire and annually at the company’s discretion.
