About The Position
The Instructional Assistant is an entry-level technical position supporting a teacher in a general education pre-kindergarten classroom. Under general supervision, the assistant helps students develop learning and social skills, supports students with disabilities or severe behaviors through supervision, instruction, and behavioral assistance, and helps prepare the classroom by copying and organizing materials. Spanish is preferred. Applicants must upload proof of one of the following before the job posting closes: passing the CBEST; completing two years of college (48 units); earning an AA degree or higher; or passing the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing. Applicants using education to meet the requirement must attach transcripts or a degree to their EdJoin application.
