Part-Time Instructional Assistant
About The Position
Salisbury Township School District is hiring a part-time Instructional Assistant at Salisbury Middle School. The successful candidate will support students, teachers, and administrators in the learning environment by reinforcing knowledge, skills, and strategies in one-to-one and small- and large-group settings. Knowledge of the processes of instruction and assessment is preferred. The role requires effective communication with stakeholders and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. The position is 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a starting salary of $21.07 per hour. Applications are accepted through November 12, 2026, or until the position is filled.
Requirements
- Competency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young children and adults.
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate.
- Basic understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
- Ability to plan and organize efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work ethically and professionally.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of college or a Pennsylvania credential certificate.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of the processes of instruction and assessment.
