About The Position

Under general supervision, the Instructional Assistant III assists instructional personnel with specialized physical education and physical fitness instructional activities. The role also performs instructional support and follow-up activities, along with other related work as required.

Requirements

• One year of paid or volunteer experience working with school-age children in an adapted physical education program.
• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by coursework or training in child growth and development, psychology, physical education, and other related educational programs; community college-level preparation is preferred.
• Any combination of experience and training that is likely to provide the required knowledge and skill may qualify.

• Coursework or training in related educational programs at the community college level is preferred.
