About The Position

The Instructional Assistant II position at San Juan High School is a part-time, permanent role working 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM. This role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups within Special Day Class or General Education settings, and supporting teacher needs. The district is seeking candidates with relevant experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.

Requirements

Relevant experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.
Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list: [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted.
[B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
[C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
[D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
