About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant II (6 Hours) at Thomas Edison Language Institute. The role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs, specifically in mild/moderate settings. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings, and supporting teacher needs. The position is for 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The work year is 9 months, 206 days per year.

Requirements

Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
