About The Position
This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant I working 6 hours per day at Grand Oaks Elementary School. The role involves supporting instructional activities within the school environment. The position is part of the CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule and includes benefits. The work year is based on the Elementary Instructional Assistant calendar, spanning 9 months/year, 206 days/year, 5 days/week. The daily work hours are from 8:55 AM to 3:30 PM.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with groups of children.
- Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list: [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted. To schedule a testing appointment, click here: Pre-Employment Test OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) OR [C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
- In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
