About The Position
This is a part-time, permanent position for a Bilingual Instructional Assistant fluent in English and Dari. The role involves working with groups of children at Katherine Johnson Middle School. The position is for 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:50 PM. The length of the work year is 9 months, 206 days per year, following the Secondary Elementary Instructional Assistant - Calendar 18B schedule. The salary range is $18.65 - $24.36 per hour.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Dari.
- Previous experience working with groups of children/students.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following documentation items: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current), Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
- If foreign degree/transcripts, coursework must be evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited institution.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license (in some programs).
