About The Position

This is a new position for the Fall 2026 semester, teaching FLS 3831-A, Avancé : Compréhension et expression orale. The course focuses on advanced oral comprehension and production strategies, critical evaluation, and expressing opinions and feelings. It involves advanced exploitation of varied texts with note-taking and synthesis exercises. Oral expression practice includes imitating complex models, structured discussions, commentary, and presentations. The course also covers the study and practice of oral comprehension and communication in familiar and semi-formal registers, and reinforces grammatical and lexical knowledge. The course will be delivered online (virtual mode) from November 9 to December 9, 2026, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

Requirements

B.A. with a specialization in a field relevant to teaching French as a second language (L2) or a higher certificate in teaching French as a second language (L2).
Two years of experience teaching French as a second language (FLS) at the college and/or university level.
Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent FLS course.
Experience with heterogeneous groups.
The course is delivered online (virtual mode).
