About The Position

This role will play a critical role in advancing Lord Abbett’s institutional business through high-impact analytics, data stewardship, and domain expertise. This role is primarily responsible for generating insightful analytics for institutional clients and prospects and for owning institutional client master data domain knowledge. The position partners closely with institutional relationship managers, consultant relations, client services, marketing, finance, and technology teams to enable data-driven strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data strategy, or business intelligence within asset management or financial services, with institutional exposure strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn complex data and reporting flows.
  • Service‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment while collaborating across teams.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • 2-3 years of experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Understanding of institutional asset management concepts including mandates, consultants, platforms, and client structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage data domains or act as a subject matter expert for core business datasets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own authoritative domain knowledge of the Institutional Client Master, including client hierarchies, attributes, identifiers, and data quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for Institutional teams, delivering recurring and ad hoc insights on flows, assets, pipeline activity, client engagement, and business performance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain institutional dashboards and analytical products using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
  • Translate complex institutional business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with Relationship Management, Consultant Relations, Operations and Sales leadership to support client strategy, client reviews, business execution and opportunity identification.
  • Collaborate with Finance and FP&A to assess institutional business profitability, product mix, fee dynamics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify data gaps, quality issues, and process inefficiencies within institutional data and lead or support remediation efforts.
  • Work with Data Engineering and Technology teams to enhance institutional data pipelines, models, and semantic layers.
  • Conduct market, peer, and client segmentation analysis to support institutional growth initiatives and marketing campaign planning.
  • Present insights, findings, and recommendations clearly to senior leaders, including sales leadership and Executive Management.
  • Support enterprise data governance initiatives with a specific focus on institutional data standards and definitions.
