The Institutional Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and validating data from student, administrative, and other institutional systems to support reporting and decision-making needs. The primary responsibilities of this role include the preparation and submission of external surveys (e.g., U.S. News Best Colleges, Peterson’s, Princeton Review, and others), as well as the development and maintenance of recurring institutional reports published on the team website as official reporting. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of externally reported institutional data. This position requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as the analyst works closely with departments across campus to collect, validate, and reconcile data used in reporting. The analyst is expected to clearly communicate data issues, assist in identifying root causes, and support resolution efforts to improve overall data quality. This role may also contribute to the development and maintenance of various Power BI reports to support the ongoing transition from static reporting to dynamic and visual storytelling dashboards for campus stakeholders, leadership, and external audiences. A foundational understanding of SQL is required, including the ability to write queries of moderate complexity to extract and analyze data. In addition to ongoing reporting responsibilities, this role will fulfill ad hoc data requests and perform other analytical tasks as needed to support institutional priorities. This position may also provide limited support for required federal reporting processes as needed.
