The Institutional Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and validating data from student, administrative, and other institutional systems to support reporting and decision-making needs. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the preparation and submission of state-mandated reports. This includes coordinating with campus data partners to resolve issues at the source, performing data validation and quality assurance checks, and identifying and correcting data discrepancies. The analyst may also assist in maintaining reports that monitor data quality and readiness for state reporting. This position requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as the analyst will work closely with data partners across campus to ensure data accuracy prior to submission. The ability to clearly and promptly communicate data issues, assist in diagnosing root causes, and support resolution efforts is essential. This position will also collaborate with the University of Arkansas System on matters related to state reporting requirements, including the interpretation and calculation of specific data elements and tracking ticket resolution for reported bugs. A foundational understanding of SQL is required, along with the ability to write queries of moderate complexity to extract and analyze data. In addition to ongoing reporting responsibilities, this role will fulfill ad hoc data requests and perform other analytical tasks as needed to support institutional priorities.
