About The Position

Berklee is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst to join the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Accreditation (OIRA). This position supports the advancement of Berklee’s mission and strategy through the accurate collection, verification, and analysis of data used for compliance, accreditation, and decision support. Reporting to the Dean of Institutional Research, you will be responsible for the accurate collection, verification, and analysis of institutional data. You will serve as a key resource for compliance, accreditation, and decision support. You will manage federal mandated reporting such as IPEDS, support reporting needs for accreditation, state approval, and other compliance reporting and respond to data needs for assessment throughout the institution. This position can be in-person, hybrid, or primarily remote.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in Institutional Research or a related field, with a strong familiarity with IPEDS and compliance-related projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Strong skills in Excel and Google Suite.
  • Experience with student information systems.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team, handling confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
  • A proven ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining careful attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of R, Python, Tableau, or Qualtrics is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of federally mandated reports, including IPEDS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Gather and summarize data for state approvals, compliance reports, and institutional and program-level accreditation reports.
  • Prepare materials in response to internal and external stakeholders' requests.
  • Document and maintain sources of institutional data across various departments.
  • Verify data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and maintain documentation to ensure consistency and data integrity.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and conduct peer comparison benchmarking to track institutional progress.
  • Support assessment initiatives through survey methodologies and data analysis.
  • Interpret data findings to provide actionable recommendations that support Berklee’s long-term strategic goals.
