About The Position
Custom Truck Accessories in Reno is hiring a full-time Installer Technician to perform high-quality, professional installations of aftermarket truck and RV parts and accessories. This hands-on shop role emphasizes precision, safety, and craftsmanship. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Hourly base pay is equivalent to $55,000–$65,000+ annually, depending on experience and performance, with efficiency bonus opportunities. Overtime is available based on workload. After 90 days, full-time employees receive the listed benefits. Custom Truck Accessories opened in Reno in June 1983 and has expanded to Carson City and Sacramento, serving customers, dealerships, manufacturers, and commercial vehicle professionals.
Requirements
- Prior experience as an aftermarket installer or in a related automotive role.
- Strong technical and mechanical skills, with proven attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to new products or situations.
- Reliability, professionalism, and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Own a core set of automotive tools; the company provides specialty tools as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds.

- Suspension experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Professionally install truck and RV aftermarket accessories, including shells, nerf bars, wheels and tires, suspension and lift kits, lighting, racks, bed liners, wiring, and performance parts.
- Follow proper procedures to ensure installations are safe, clean, and consistent.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
- Partner with sales staff to review work orders and confirm accuracy before beginning jobs.
- Communicate clearly with team members to keep jobs on track and customers updated.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support and uphold a positive shop culture based on respect, teamwork, and pride in work.
- Safely operate and test-drive customer vehicles.
