About The Position
Custom Truck Accessories is hiring a full-time Installer Technician for its Carson City, Nevada shop. This hands-on role focuses on professional installation of aftermarket truck and RV parts and accessories, with an emphasis on precision, safety, and craftsmanship. The technician will work closely with the shop team and sales staff to complete accurate, high-quality installations, resolve technical issues, and help maintain a professional, respectful workplace. The position offers hourly base pay equivalent to $55,000–$65,000+ annually, depending on experience and performance, with efficiency bonus opportunities and overtime available based on workload. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday. After 90 days, eligible full-time employees receive the listed benefits.
Requirements
- Prior experience as an aftermarket installer or in a related automotive role.
- Strong technical and mechanical skills, with proven attention to detail.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to new products or situations.
- Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A core set of automotive tools; the company provides specialty tools as needed.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Comfort lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate and test-drive customer vehicles.
- Ability to work with exposure to weather and potentially extreme temperature ranges.

- Suspension experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Professionally install truck and RV aftermarket accessories, including shells, nerf bars, wheels and tires, suspension and lift kits, lighting, racks, bed liners, wiring, and performance parts.
- Follow proper procedures to ensure installations are safe, clean, and consistent.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
- Review work orders with sales staff and confirm accuracy before starting jobs.
- Communicate clearly with team members to keep jobs on track and customers updated.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support a shop culture of respect, teamwork, professionalism, and pride in work.
- Safely operate and test-drive customer vehicles.
