About The Position
This is a full-time, hands-on role for a Low-Voltage Installation Technician focused on high-end residential Audio Video (AV), lighting, shading, and control systems. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, eager to learn, technically inclined, and prefers field work over desk work. Experience on construction sites, ability to use tools, a steady work history, and high emotional intelligence are essential.
Requirements
- Experience on construction sites.
- Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, and use power and hand tools.
- Steady work history (minimum 3 years between jobs).
- High emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Technical inclination and curiosity.
- Hands-on approach and preference for field work.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in AV Installation (Residential & Commercial).
- Experience in Security Installation.
- Experience in Low-Voltage Cable Pulling.
- Experience in Managed Services (MSP) if installation skills are present.
- Experience as an Electrician (High Voltage or Low Voltage).
Responsibilities
- Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling including Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, and Crestron.
- Mount devices at the ends of installed cabling.
- Build and lace equipment racks.
- Perform advanced setup and configuration of devices.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of networks.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of devices.
- Programming of Lutron, Control4 (C4), Savant, and Crestron systems.
