About The Position
AV Specialists is seeking a Low-Voltage Installation Technician for high-end residential AV, lighting, shading, and control systems. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, eager to learn, hands-on, technically inclined, and enjoys field work. Experience on construction sites, ability to use tools, a steady work history, and high emotional intelligence are essential. This is an in-person role located in Clearwater, FL, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 4:00 pm.
Requirements
- Experience on construction sites
- Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools
- A steady work history (3yrs between hops)
- High EQ
- Basic Skills in Control4/Crestron/Savant programming (or willingness to learn for lower pay)

- Managed Services (MSP) - If you can install!
- Electrician (HV or LV)
Responsibilities
- Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron)
- Mount devices at the ends of those wires (AV/Network/Control/Lighting/Shading)
- Build and lace equipment racks
- Advanced setup and configuration of devices
- Advanced understanding of networks
- Advanced troubleshooting of devices
- Complete Programming of Lutron
- Complete Programming of Control4/Crestron/Savant (Basic Skills & no programming = lower pay)
