Leidos Defense is seeking a dynamic Project Manager for the NAVSEA Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 5) program. This position is responsible for leading activities associated with executing the PEO IWS5 contract as directed by the Shipboard Installation Program Manager. The East Coast Installation Project Manager oversees the training, administration, planning, and resource management of the Leidos East Coast Alteration Installation Team (AIT), based in Chesapeake, VA, and conducting shipboard combat systems installations worldwide. The successful candidate will be the manager of installation teams ranging in size from 12-50; including multiple sub-contractors and companies, in the proper execution of shipboard upgrades and installations of electronic systems on US Navy Ships. In order to be successful, the candidate must have experience in shipboard copper & fiber optic cable removal / installation, electrical equipment (specifically C4I and Combat Systems) removal / installation, and associated items such as connectors and banding. Additionally, the candidate must possess experience and ability in power, mechanical, and internal equipment modifications. The incumbent will be looked to as a subject matter expert by junior personnel and will be expected to provide mentorship and leadership where appropriate.
