Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Travel requirements up to 50% of the time.
  • Experience working with AC and DC Drive systems.
  • Experience managing construction craft contractors, LOTO, and machine outages.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • Metals processing knowledge is preferred.
  • Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in automation products and complimentary areas.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all project assignments, individually or as part of a project team, potentially involving multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Focus on Installation Engineering, Pre-Outage and Outage Activities, and Equipment Start-Up.
  • Create and manage Installation Project Schedules.
  • Manage Installation Contractors (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) for installations at IMS client sites during Pre-Outage and Outage Activities, including site reports, answering contractor questions, attending/leading meetings, and providing direction to keep projects on schedule.
  • Lead Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) for IMS during outages and coordinate LOTO with the client and construction contractor.
  • Assist or lead wire tagging activities for equipment changes, including investigating undocumented or missing wiring and creating de-term and term sheets if necessary.
  • Assist with on-site commissioning activities for installed equipment, wiring, and piping to ensure correct installation and troubleshoot issues.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics (existing and new), civil drawings, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic drawings.
  • Redline Installation Drawings for the Installation Design Team to complete "As-Built" drawings.
