About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is hiring an entry-level, full-time Inspector for its production environment in Barberton, Ohio. Training will be provided. The role involves safely operating production equipment and inspecting wheels to meet quality and production targets. The scheduled shift is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a stated rate of $23.03 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. The Inspector follows safety procedures, performs compliance checks, completes documentation and reports, visually inspects wheels for defects, and verifies dimensional requirements and overall appearance against the control plan. The role also participates in TPM activities, helps ensure 5S requirements are met, and assists with departmental problem solving. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or two years of work experience.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Meet the physical demands of occasional lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent or constant lifting of 25 pounds, as well as constant standing, walking, bending, and twisting in a production environment with temperature extremes and noise.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety procedures.
Perform compliance checks and complete paperwork, documentation, and reports.
Visually inspect wheels for defects or malformations.
Ensure the quality of produced parts, including checking dimensional requirements according to the control plan and assessing overall appearance.
Complete required paperwork.
