About The Position

The Inspector at Cook Winston-Salem is responsible to inspect products according to regulated procedures. This role involves visually, dimensionally, and functionally inspecting product to determine whether it is acceptable using prescribed standards and completing all necessary documentation. The Inspector will also assist in training new employees, perform daily and weekly cleaning, and other duties as assigned. The position requires the ability to read, write, and understand product specifications, drawings, work orders, labels, and quality forms in English, as well as the ability to use various testing equipment and small measuring devices. Maintaining regular and punctual attendance and meeting company quality and quantity standards are essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Visual Acuity to work with small parts
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10lbs 90% of day; remaining 10% able to co-carry up to 35lbs
• Ability to perform fine manipulation with hands e.g. grasping, pinching pulling

Responsibilities

• Inspect products and/or components per detailed specifications and/or drawings for quality, which includes, but is not limited to the following: - Visually, dimensionally and functionally inspect product - Determine whether the product is acceptable using prescribed standards - Complete all necessary documentation
• Assist in training new employees in the department
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to read, write, and understand product specifications, drawings, work orders, labels and quality forms written in English
• Ability to use a variety of testing equipment including small measuring devices
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
