About The Position

We are seeking a Process Inspector Level B to support operations at either our existing state‑of‑the‑art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Toney, AL, and/or our new AMF in Huntsville, AL, which will serve as our inert manufacturing facility for the fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
An associate degree with 0–2 years of related experience

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in a quality‑focused role within manufacturing.
Working knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing systems (GD&T).
Familiarity with AS9100 and related quality management standards.

Responsibilities

Use standard measuring equipment and techniques to inspect products, processes, and procured items to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Develop and execute audit plans to ensure processes are being followed, equipment is being maintained and calibrated, and materials meet all requirements, including shelf life.
Partner with the operations team to ensure products meet specifications and schedule requirements.
Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
Evaluate similar processes across the shop and create standardized inspection methods and criteria to reduce error, mistake‑proof processes, and define standard work.
Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes, collect data, and/or support research efforts, using sound judgment to identify and recommend solutions where errors may be difficult to detect and costly to resolve.
Troubleshoot processes and identify, modify, or escalate out‑of‑control conditions and production escapes.
Coordinate with maintenance, supervision, and/or the operations team on equipment and tooling setup and calibration.
Ensure calibrated‑item processes are followed and conduct periodic facility audits.
Participate in preventative maintenance activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
