Aerospace Repair Inspector B 3rd shift
About The Position
Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company and a leading provider of aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that safely & reliably extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture and repair critical turbine components for a range of engine platforms. Our solutions support the engines running the aerospace, energy and defense industries around the world. This is an hourly position with Local 475. Rate of pay $27.26/hr with a 15% premium for working 3rd shift hours. 3rd shift is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00pm to 7:00am. MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON 1st SHIFT: MONDAY -FRIDAY 7:00AM - 3:00PM.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
- Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
- Proven ability to take measurements.
- Previous experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required
- Certify visual acuity to NAS-410 (corrective lenses allowed for eye exam)
- US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Inspection of blades and vanes.
- Complete incoming and final Inspection to ensure production is completing processes correctly as defined in the production work instructions.
- Utilize inspection and test equipment (caliper, micrometer, comparator, ruler, meters, Etc.) to verify products to specification.
- Capable of performing the various visual and dimensional on the various part types.
- Capable of NDT Inspections (Airflow, surface finish, Magnetoscope, and core inspection).
- Communicate product/process/documentation discrepancies and potential discrepancies to aid continuous improvement efforts.
- Suggest opportunities for improvement for the company.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
