About The Position

We’re looking for a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools used to manufacture and repair critical aerospace components. In this role, you'll machine parts to precise specifications, inspect finished products, and help ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of components that support the aviation industry. At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical work instructions.
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics, machining principles, and metalworking processes.
  • Experience operating CNC machining equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measuring and inspection instruments.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of machine shop experience.
  • Experience operating both CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Experience with CNC grinders, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, VTLs, internal grinders, or external grinders.
  • Aerospace manufacturing, repair, or precision machining experience.
  • Familiarity with tight-tolerance machining and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools to manufacture and repair aerospace components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications to perform machining operations accurately.
  • Machine components to precise dimensions and tolerances using established machining methods and procedures.
  • Inspect and verify finished work using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Support cross-training, continuous improvement initiatives, and other production duties as assigned.
