About The Position

The Inspector 1 performs and documents inspections of aircraft parts and processes, including in-process, first article, receiving, and final inspections. The role reads and interprets planning documents, tool designs, blueprints, specifications, and quality inspection procedures to create clear, complete, and precise inspection records. The inspector calibrates tools and equipment before use, works with personnel across departments on quality issues, and helps operators understand quality specifications and procedures. The position also prepares nonconformance reports, conducts internal audits as required, and suggests improvements to the quality management system. Work is performed in shop conditions that can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in inspection.
• Familiarity with precision tools.
• Ability to read and interpret planning documents, tool designs, blueprints, specifications, and quality inspection procedures.
• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated accountability, accuracy, communication, decision-making, attention to detail, ethical conduct, honesty and integrity, initiative, judgment, self-motivation, persistence, problem-solving, time management, safety awareness, reliability, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits as required.
• Suggest new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
