About The Position

This is a remote position for the Hochelaga Project in Montreal. We are looking for a dynamic Quality Inspector - Building to join our team and participate in exciting projects that transform Quebec's landscapes. This role is specifically for a new project starting soon in Montreal. Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the individual ensures the conformity of work carried out on the construction site in accordance with the quality plan, inspection and test plans (PIE/PRIE), and contractual requirements. They perform inspections, identify non-conformities, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure their follow-up until complete resolution. Acting as a key liaison between site teams and the quality team, they actively contribute to operational excellence and the performance of construction projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or a technical diploma in architecture or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good command of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills, good judgment, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure communication and coordination between site stakeholders and the Quality Manager.
  • Identify quality issues and deviations from the quality assurance system.
  • Ensure that work affected by a quality problem is monitored until complete resolution.
  • Ensure the application, monitoring, and closure of non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Perform site inspections in accordance with PRIE/PIE requirements.
  • Document and report all deviations observed on the construction site to the Quality Manager.
  • Prepare and update execution procedures required for the project.
  • Verify the application on site of technical changes transmitted by professionals.
  • Control the conformity of work according to shop drawings and approved technical documents.
  • Apply and ensure compliance with the Quality Plan and inspection and test plans.
  • Perform, complete, and ensure the follow-up of quality records.
  • Conduct inspections independently, with assigned personnel, in accordance with PIEs.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret data and statistics related to non-conformities.
  • Supervise deficiency surveys and ensure follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Monitor the supply of materials on the construction site.
  • Supervise the approval of technical data sheets for approvals.
