About The Position

The Inside Upholsterer upholsters the inside sections of chairs and sofas in fabric and leather, meeting 100% quality standards. The role includes performing repair work and other duties assigned by the manager. It is a production/hourly, non-exempt position at Arhaus Upholstery in Conover, North Carolina. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Weekend work is also required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of upholstery procedures.
• Ability to read an order ticket written in English.
• Ability to use a staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulators.
• Ability to work safely, neatly, and quickly to meet production requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills, including the ability to read, comprehend, speak, and write in English.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and reliably with minimum supervision.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
• Ability to transport frames to and from the work area.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for at least eight hours per day.
• Good vision.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes when required.
• Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of experience in furniture upholstery.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
