Inside Technical Sales Associate
About The Position
Lucas Milhaupt is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Associate to provide efficient, accurate customer support across its products and services. The role is a front-line point of contact for customers, applying product and application knowledge to respond to customer needs, resolve issues, prepare product quotes, and process orders. The associate is expected to deliver a high-quality customer service experience through a positive attitude, strong time management, multitasking, and attention to detail. Work may be directed by others, and senior team members may provide processing support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Experience resolving customer issues of limited complexity in a timely and accurate manner.
- Passion for working with people and building relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting timelines.
- Ability to communicate respectfully to achieve mutual understanding.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality as necessary and requested.
- Ability to use desktop computer systems and software programs to retrieve, record, analyze, and communicate data.
- Positive, can-do attitude.

- Prior experience preparing quotes for repeat sales.
Responsibilities
- Promote safety as the number one priority of all Lucas employees.
- Analyze customer service needs and respond to them or refer them to appropriate internal resources.
- Resolve customer issues and communicate solutions or requested information in a timely manner.
- Use enterprise resource planning tools to record customer activities.
- Use product knowledge and historical quotes to prepare quotes for repeat sales.
- Follow up on submitted quotes to promote sale closure.
- Accurately enter customer orders and promote repeat orders with existing customers.
- Work to expedite orders as necessary, obtaining support from appropriate internal resources.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
