About The Position

MacArthur Co. is a 100% employee-owned national distributor of building materials. The Inside Sales role connects the outside sales team with customers, builds product and company knowledge, and ensures customer orders are processed accurately. The position suits someone who works effectively in a fast-paced environment, shares results, and delegates when necessary. Requirements

A few years of inside sales and customer service experience is ideal.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Strong communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to concentrate on tasks for extended periods.
Persuasive teaching style for communicating company products and services.
Ability to follow established guidelines, structure, and policies while working with and for others.
Team player who is also willing to lead.
Willingness to help out as needed.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of roofing, mechanical, industrial, HVAC, or siding products; related experience is preferred.
Construction industry experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Support the daily sales operations of a building materials distribution center.
Build trusting, competent relationships with customers and co-workers.
Diagnose problems and provide proven solutions.
Follow up with customers to help preserve relationships.
Support outside sales team members.
Work directly with long-term customers on a daily basis.
Finalize and oversee fulfillment of customer orders.
Use relevant expertise to deliver high-quality work in accordance with established practices.
Handle detailed work quickly and accurately.
Support a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
